Tuesday 5th June 2012 - PopCap Games, a worldwide leader in mobile and social games, today announced the immediate availability in Japan of an all-new mobile AndroidTM and iOS social game, Bejeweled® Legend for GREE, Japan’s leading mobile social gaming platform, with over 30 million users.
Bejeweled Legend marks a major milestone for PopCap’s Asia Pacific strategy. Built in Japan for Japanese players, Bejeweled Legend signifies the first time PopCap has self-published a game in Japan, demonstrating the company’s increased commitment to one of the world’s most avid gaming markets.
Building on PopCap’s flagship franchise, Bejeweled Legend fuses the world’s number one puzzle game with a pirate-themed story and an RPG progression. Working closely with GREE, PopCap has incorporated a culturally rich story, frequent events, and rich social components that combine to make Bejeweled Legend a unique experience.
Bejeweled Legend is the first product designed and developed by PopCap’s Tokyo Studio.
